October 2 & 3, 2009: the 20th edition of the SICAC (Salon International du Couteau d’Art et de Collection) took place at the “Maison du la Mutualite”, Paris, woth over 130 exhibitors from 23 different countries. It was a very enriching experience. It was the first time an Argentine presented in this exhibition and I had the great pleasure to receive the prize to the best forged knives “PRIX DU COUTEAU DROIX FORGE”. It was very exciting, I appreciate very much this distinction and share the pictures of this unforgettable moment.
These are some of the knives I presented in the SICAC 2009, two Creoles mosaic made only by hammer, the handles are deer and warthog tusk. The Bowie is made of meteorite metal, both the blade and the defense are made of the same damascus. The handle is of patagonic deer, the other of Japanese buffalo.
